This is the highest paved road in Croatia, climbing from sea level at Makarska to the 1,762m peak of Sveti Jure. It is extremely narrow, steep, and exposed, offering vertigo-inducing views of the Italian coast on a clear day (Warning: Not for the faint of heart).
